This is a poem I wrote a while ago. Enjoy.

My Prometheus
Author: Quin

Though caverns tall
And echoing
Shoulder most
Of the burden,
The heaviness
Of my heart
Cannot be overlooked.
For one day soon
The great nostalgia
Of lives past will
Catch up.
The things that were done
Were done forever
Not to be taken back.
The shadows of a heart
Fall upon the chest
Of someone tall and ghostly.
He's not been seen
Here, there, or in-between
For centuries
For when he hides
He can't be found
By those who want to find him.
Only those
Who cannot see
Who have not seen
What he did
As evil
Can see him
Can find him.
To protect himself
And us
From eternity
He sleeps here
In caverns tall
And echoing
With the shadows of a heart
The shadows of his heart
And of mine
Fall upon his chest
Beating quietly
Unheard
For eternity.
I forgive you
My friend,
For what you have done.
May your peace
Last
As long as your heart
Beats
And beyond.
For only beyond eternity
Will the others forgive you
My Prometheus.
